Formulaic Oral
By teaching a standardised approach to oral examinations, we help students to master essential strategies and answering techniques, enabling them to express their thoughts confidently and effortlessly in the examination room.
Composition by Theme
We teach composition writing by categorising topics into themes, enabling students to apply relevant vocabulary flexibly and effectively to each theme. We focus on enhancing students’ thinking and writing skills, including visual content interpretation, theme summarisation and writing time management.

Our “Three Hearts, Two Minds” technique for comprehension enables students to meticulously analyse text to identify the basis for answering questions. This method comprehensively enhances students’ comprehension, analysis and expression abilities, enabling them to ace any comprehension examination.
Higher Chinese and Chinese Tuition in Singapore
HCL Education Centre is a professional Chinese Tuition Centre, established in December 2006 by our founder, Mr Wang Deqing. It has developed into a well-known Chinese Tuition Centre with thousands of students achieving remarkable results. We provide Chinese tuition lessons for Nursery, Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary school students.
HCL represents both “Happy Chinese Learning” and “Higher Chinese Language”. We believe in having our students learn the diversity of the Chinese Language through effective techniques and teaching methods that have been well thought through by our educators. This includes a conducive classroom atmosphere that has been well-designed.
Professionally Designed Chinese Courses by HCL
At HCL, we provide a plethora of courses specifically catered to students depending on individual needs and capabilities. The courses include N1-K2 Happy Learning Course, P1-P6 HCL Course, P1-P6 Enrichment Course, P3-P6 Elite Course, S1-S4 Express Chinese Course and S1-S4 Higher Chinese Course. Each of our classes has a relatively small teacher to student ratio, including consultation programs, to have a better understanding of the needs of each student.
Under the leadership of the excellent teaching team at HCL, our students consistently excel in various Chinese language competitions and examinations, both in and out of the school, as well as at the national level. Their excellent results are the best proof of our educators’ ability.
